WHY
ORDER FROM US?
We are faster than the “big guys,”
because…
… we’ve
experienced a “Big-Bang” three times with the EU Domain
introduction, which has opened the purchasing system of
the assigned area. Each accredited Registrar would like
as many domain registrations possible to be transmitted
as quickly as possible to the EU server where the FIRST
domain registration of each name is decided. If everyone
from the 25 participating EU countries could have sent unlimited
orders to ALL of the Registrars in EURid AT THE SAME TIME,
the input server from EURid wouldn’t be able to process
and would shut down. Therefore, EURid limited the bandwidth
(and the speed that the applications could be accepted at)
to 5 domain applications each second for each accredited
Registrar. As a “smaller” Registrar, we welcome this regulation.
That means, for example, that a “larger” Registrar requires:
150.000 EU domain orders in 30.000 seconds (or 500 minutes
= 8.33 hours). We have, for example, already taken 8.000
orders in 1.600 seconds (or in less than 27 minutes). If
we already placed all of the orders with EURid, it would
still take a “larger” business 473 minutes or 7.88 hours
longer to admit further domain orders! To add, we can divide
our orders among three licensed Registrars and can therefore
again triple our speed!
WHO
ELSE OFFERS THIS ADVANTAGE?
First
come, first served consideration
Each
Registrar competes against other Registrars as soon as the
ordering system of EURid is opened. It is a question of
how long before YOUR EU domain applications are placed in
OUR Registrar system (you can reliably check that from us
with our Timestamp!). Another question now is, how well
the procedure is balanced.
If the
ordering server of EURid is opened on 1.12.2005 at 12:00
p.m. (assumption), each Registrar would want to place their
orders first. A domain like “business.eu”, that will well
have a value of around a million EURO, can, with certainty,
obtain ALL Registrars with the FIRST order. That means that
our system delivers the fastest orders (before ALL OTHER
Registrars). Orders delivered too quickly go missing, orders
delivered too late, that are identical (also for “business.eu”),
will get preferred handling.
HOW
DO WE ENSURE THAT WE ARE “IN THE FOREFRONT”?
We provide
high-quality, sufficient hardware
We examine
the remote time on the EURid server by exact nanoseconds
– how late is it on the clock of the server there … (not
good if the competitor goes by YOUR server clock..).
We check
the time that will be needed in order to reach the server
of EURid and thus, accordingly send the first order off
earlier so that it arrives exactly at the opening of the
order processing.
We add
up the delay time that we know, based on experience, occurs
from the type of instances (Landrush info & biz, Landrush
IDN = Umlaut domains at De/At/Ch/Info..) that result in
anticipated “traffic jams” on the backbone.
…yes,
dear competitor, I also don’t say everything here…
You
already see that we take this subject VERY seriously!
Naturally,
even with great accuracy, a guarantee cannot be given. The
entire scenario is the same as a lottery and should also
be seen that way.
You
can visualize that the first 100 orders of many Registrars
will acquire up to 70% of the identical domain applications!

Do other
suppliers likewise guarantee…
1.)
…the COMPLETE transmission of credit from fees that will
be credited to us through EURid in case the domain cannot
be given to you?
2.)
… the exact following of the time of registration (Timestamp)
– or do you have to pay extra for or accept “pre-ranking”
so that your application can be placed behind another?
3.)
… no setup costs, no domain transmission costs to an external
provider?
4.)
…higher legal security through our accredited status and
in exact accordance with the rules?
5.)
… long lasting, successful operation in the domain business?
